DMM Bitcoin Opens Trades
The Japanese internet giant's cryptocurrency branch DMM Bitcoin opens trades. The plans for opening a cryptocurrency exchange in January 2018, were in place for a long time.
Under the brand name DMM Bitcoin, the Japanese e-commerce & entertainment giant, DMM Group has launched its very own cryptocurrency exchange.
Trading on DMM Bitcoin exchange began on the 11th of Jan 2018, with a total offerings of 7 cryptocurrencies.
The list of 7 cryptocurrencies which are being supported currently, are namely Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ether, Ethereum Classic, Nem and Ripple.
There are 14 trading pairs to choose from; of which the listed 7 cryptocurrencies can be bought with Japanese Yen. The other 7 pairs are BCH/BTC, XRP/BTC, LTC/BTC, ETC/ETH, TH/BTC, XEM/BTC & ETH/BTC.
DMM Bitcoin announced a giveaway of 1,000 Yen (circa $9) to all those who open their account on their platform, during the first 2 months of their operations. The giveaway will go on till 31st of March 2018.
Trading on the DMM Bitcoin platform can be done on their website or mobile apps. Notably DMM Bitcoin app is available on both android & iOS platforms.
Another Exchange on the Cards
As per the reports, the DMM Group is planning to launch another cryptocurrency exchange called Cointap, later in the year.
Cointap will be specifically aimed at providing trading features and offerings to inexperienced traders, who do not need advance services. Ease of use will be the primary objective of Cointap, on which trades would be able to buy & sell cryptocurrencies using their smartphones.
